A flexible software package to help manage the details of a Volunteer Fire Department

Volunteer Fire Departments are all about volunteer work, and there are not any non-commercial software packages that I can identify, to assist them in the management of the myriad details associated in the management of their endeavors. Currently there have not been any major obstacles indentified in the details of this project.

The initial scope of the project is to:

1) Provide an interface to manage department members.

2) Provide for inventory management.

3) Provide for Run / Call logging.

4) Provide Predefined and Custom reporting.

After the initial build and some more investigation into community needs, the scope will expand to include identified needs. Presently the need for pre-existing data formats, interoperability, or specific protocols are not anticipated. There has been minimal work related to this project yet completed.
